Chador...is not that...

I want to dedicate this thread to all the users who did not hesitate once to criticize one of the fundamental aspect of Islam.

I have the conviction that the following reflection would have an impact on the way you see my religion, and i hope that it would give you the sense of respect, and why not admiration,i pray God,every time your hear about or discuss the rituals of Islam.

Two days ago,i watched a documentary on Zarmina, the Afghani woman that was shot dead in the Kabul Stadium. During all the documentary i saw a strange Islamic law, that of the Taliban and of the exercing government too.

What i was totally against to is the chador !!!

The chador that is wore by the Afghani women does not fulfill with the women wear as described in the Quran.

The typical suite for a muslim woman has the following conditions :
-Not to describe the curves of the body.
-Not to be transparent.
-Not to have any resemblance with men's wear.
-Not to be too much perfumed.
-To cover the whole body except the face and the hands.

You can remark that the chador covers all the woman to the point that it has the shape of a casper once passing along the street.
Afghani women lack their right to show their face, not for a seduction purpose of course, because seduction is far to be physical,to me at least !!! This is a black point, among others,in the Afghani regime, and i just want to say that it is not descriptive of Islam as a whole.
I also wanted to say that the hijeb, the typical Islamic women's wear,is compulsory of course, but it is practical to wear, women can work with it,drive cars, practice sports...!!!

The relationship between worshipping and the clothing is evident. The verses that describe the clothing of women are clear and obvious.

Surat 24 En-Nour,The Light :

"Say to the believing that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty :that will make for greater purity for them:and Allah is well acquainted with all what they do"."And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty;that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof;that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers or their brothers sons,or their sisters'sons,or their women,or the slaves whom tejir right hands possess,or male servants free of physical needs,or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex;and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain bliss."

Surat 33 Al-Ahzab,The Clans,The Coalition,The Combined Forces :

"O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters,AND THE BELIEVING WOMEN,that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad):that is most convenient, they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful."

These are the verses to which ones can refer when talking about the Muslim women clothing. As you may see,the instructions are precise and consize, and they are not due to deny women from any human right. A muslim woman must comply with these instructions because they are from God,and when we say that God is the unique, the perfect, the wise,...we can not say that he was wrong in this point precisely !!!One of the scientists explain the Islamic women clothing by the fact that females are of great impact on the society as a whole,as well as physically or psychically, and this is something that is not tried to be hidden by Islam, but just to be organized, and used on the appropriate way. He gives the following anecdote:If we take one hundred men, they may not succeed in letting a single woman falling in their "love" or "interest" if i can say. Whereas it is easily for a single woman to let one hundred men "mad" of her. I hope you have understood the meaning here,it may be rediculous but, after a wise reflection we may be in favor of !!!
There is a point that i wanted to clarify,a member above said that the situation of muslim women is not a booster for the development of the muslim nations. I say that Islam have never denied women from work, and the wives of Prophet themselves were hard-working.Remember that the first wife of the Prophet was the most successful commercant in Quraish, the tribe dwelling in Mecca, from which the Prophet originates. Women are asked to work for the benefit of the humanity and are asked to succeed in their work...

Je publie cet écrit à l'occasion de la polémique qui a suivi les annonces faites par Carthage au début de la semaine écoulée.

A suivre...
